My Cheer Journey
I have over a decade of cheer experience in both All Star Cheer and High School Cheer. I cheered for 7 years, and I was a flyer and both a main and side base. I cheered All Star Cheer at Infinity All Stars for a few years and then at Cheer Tyme, where Coach Lauren coached me on a Senior Level 4.2 team. And how about this for a fun fact, Coach Krissy coached my sister's Youth Level 2 team when I was on a Senior Level 2. You never know where your cheer connections might show up later in life!
I did high school cheer in both Germany and in the U.S. When I cheered varsity for the Yorktown High School team, we won the school's first ever invitational- the Hayfield Hawkfest Invitational in 2014. We worked hard on our routine and had never won an invitational before that! And after high school, I attended the University of Alabama, where I was an active member on the Club Cheer Team.
Besides coaching now at Capital Cheer, I am head coach of the varsity team at Woodson High School. Before this position, I was head coach of the JV cheer program there, and before that, I was at Bama Bounders as a stunt and tumble coach.

My Coaching Style
I would say my coaching style is supportive, but structured. I care a lot about my athletes and always encourage them, but also set clear expectations and hold them accountable to ensure they reach their full potential.
My Tips for Athletes
1.) The one thing you can always control is your effort, attitude, and focus.
2.) You won’t master a skill in 1 or even 2 practices. Continue to show up and give your best, and with time the progress will show.
3.) Be coachable! Coaches are there to help, and we want you to grow into your best self. Listen, learn, and be willing to adjust.
