CCA Coach Q&A
Megan Cave
Cheer Coach

Capital Cheer Allstars has another coach to introduce, so let's do it. Meet Coach Megan Cave, who joined us not long ago. Read her bio and the interview below to get to know all about her.

You've had a lot of experience cheering. What do you think the recipe is for success for a team? For a program?
Consistent effort, trust, accountability, and a culture where athletes feel supported and challenged to grow.
What is your favorite cheer memory as an athlete?
As an athlete, one of my favorite cheer memories was learning a double full in a single practice. The next day, my coach told me he wanted me to throw it in competition and jokingly bet me $50 that I wouldn’t. I did it, landed it beautifully, and when I came off the mat he ran out onto the stage and handed me the $50. It was a moment of trust, confidence, and believing in myself that I’ll never forget.
What is your favorite thing about All Star Cheer?
The sense of family, and the discipline it instills that shapes confidence, teamwork, and resilience for the future.
What is the best part of the season for you and why?
My favorite part of the season is right after tryouts and throughout the summer, before choreography. It’s when athletes are working on new skills together, building trust, and laying the foundation for the entire season. Summer is where so much growth happens, most athletes earn their new skills then, and it’s exciting to watch the team come together and start shaping who they’ll be for the year.
On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the least competitive and 10 being the most competitive, where would you rate yourself?
Oh, I’m a 9! I really love winning!
Do you have a role model? Who is it and why?
My mom is my role model. She has always been my constant source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional support, and she taught me the importance of showing up, working hard, and leading with love.
Why do you think someone/a business should support this program?
Supporting this program is an investment in teamwork, leadership, and work ethic, the same qualities that make strong employees and strong businesses.
