
What to Bring to
Cheer Competitions
It’s almost competition day! What do you need to bring with you? Here’s a list of mandatory and other useful items to bring with you!
Must Haves:

Cheer uniform (leo and skirt for girls; top and pants for boys)

Cheer warm-up (jacket and pants)
-
Cheer bow (or bows as sometimes you wear one for Day 1 and another for Day 2 of 2-day comps)

Cheer shoes
-
Clear strap bra (our uniform covers most of the bra but some still can be visible)
-
No-show white socks (not ankle socks)
-
Cheer make-up (remember there is a specific color palette for Capital Cheer)

Team mascot if your kid has gotten the notebook and mascot
-
at the previous practice
Should Haves:
-
Hairbrush
-
Bobby pins
-
Hairspray and gel
-
Band aids and other medications like Emetrol, Motrin, etc.

Electronic chargers

Shout wipes
-
Make-up wipes
-
Deodorant
-
Snacks (but make sure they won’t stain your uniform) and water

Umbrella (chances are you will have a comp day where it rains)
Could Haves:
-
Cheer pins (to pin others for good luck or to trade)
- Lucky duck

Ear plugs (It’s so loud in the venues.)

Sewing kit
Don't forget to get plenty of rest and bring your facials! See you at the comps!
