Capital Cheer Booster Club FAQ’s
 

What is the Capital Cheer All Stars Booster Club (CCABC)?
The Capital Cheer All Stars Booster Club is a parent-led organization, facilitated by Booster Club leadership, who are also cheer parents dedicated to supporting all Capital Cheer teams through fundraising, event planning, and community engagement.

How can I get involved?
You can get involved in several ways:

  • become a member,

  • volunteer for events,

  • contribute ideas,

  • wear Capital Cheer merchandise,

  • donate items/services, and

  • help with fundraising efforts.

 

We welcome all parents, guardians, family members, and friends of Capital!
 

What are the main goals of the Booster Club?

  • Support Athletes: Pay for all or portions of events like end of year banquet or bringing in special guests to support skill development, and as able, potentially with things such as travel and/or competition fees in the future.

  • Fundraising: Create, facilitate, and organize events to raise funds for Capital Cheer activities.

  • Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community and spirit among team members and families through fun activities and recognition.
     

How does the Booster Club fundraise?

We engage in various fundraising activities, such as:

  • Sponsorships and donations from local businesses and corporations

  • Merchandise and food/drink sales

  • Silent auctions, raffles, online campaigns, etc.

  • Special events such as car washes, parents’ night out
     

Where does the raised money go?
CCABC raises funds strictly for the benefit of Capital Cheer Teams! Capital Cheer athletes, and families benefit from these funds in a number of ways:

  • Creating a fun environment with program-wide and team activities (such as Cheer Showcase and End of Year Banquet)

  • Bringing in specialized training for our athletes
     

How often does the Booster Club meet?
CCABC leadership meetings are typically held monthly, with additional meetings scheduled with members and volunteers as needed for specific events or projects.

Who can join the Booster Club? Where do I go to join?
All parents, guardians, and supporters of Capital Cheer teams are welcome to join the CCABC! Your involvement is an investment in supporting these young athletes. You can join by visiting: https://www.capitalcheerabc.com/join-today.

Is there a membership fee?
Currently, there is a mandatory $100 membership fee per family (June 5-May 2026) to cover:

  • Team spirit initiatives (bingo night and other fun community bonding events)

  • Event planning and coordination (showcases, banquets, special cheer training)

  • Costs related to additional fundraising efforts (supplies, rentals)

  • Administrative support to keep the club running smoothly (e.g. insurance, website costs)
     

Other than the membership fee, what is required of members of the CCABC?
Members of the CCABC are supporters and fans of all Capital Cheer athletes! In addition, we request that members volunteer to support at least one event per year (June-May) but hope you will be a continual source of energy, ideas, and participation in all CCABC efforts.

Does Capital Gymnastics receive any funds from the CCABC?
CCABC uses all funds for its cheer athletes and does not provide any payment to Capital Gymnastics NTC unless the Booster Club rents equipment/uses a service where payment is due.

Can I volunteer for the CCABC and/or specific events?
Absolutely! We need, rely on, and appreciate all volunteer help! You can sign up by responding to emails and electronic signups for each specific event or initiative. You can also email Booster Club leadership to get involved at info@capitalcheerabc.com.
