"Watching athletes believe in themselves and do things they once thought they couldn’t is the best thing about coaching."

My Cheer Journey

My Coaching Style

What’s my coaching style?  I think I’m supportive, intentional, and relationship driven. I lead with encouragement and high standards, focus on the why behind skills, and create a safe, family-style environment where athletes feel seen, supported, and confident pushing themselves.

I started out in gymnastics and was in it for 7 years.  Then, I switched to All Star Cheer, which I did for 8 years for a gym called All Star Legacy. I also cheered at Westfield High School on Varsity for 4 years.

As for my coaching experience, I’ve coached one year of CYA, and I’m excited that this is my first time coaching All Stars! While I’m still early in my coaching journey, I’m committed to learning, growing, and evolving alongside my athletes every season. So far, I’ve been getting to meet each athlete and starting to build relationships. Watching connections form and being part of their journeys has been incredibly special already.

My Tips for Athletes

  1. Believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to try.

  2. Listen, ask questions, and keep learning.

  3. Be a great teammate on and off the mat.
